  • Young Farmers Scholarship Auction
    The Effingham County Young Farmers Scholarship Auction will take place at 6pm on March 9th at Effingham County High School. For $12 you can enjoy a great steak dinner and bid on auction items donated by local businesses. The proceeds will fund the Lloyd Arnsdorff Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship recipient must have been an FFA member for 2 years or 4 semesters and be pursing a degree in an agriculture-related field. Contact Todd Wall for more information.

  • Medicare & Peachcare Enrollment
    The Rincon Public Library is providing free assistance for enrollment or renewal of these services every third Saturday or by appointment. Medicaid and PeachCare for Kids are no-cost or low-cost public health insurance programs for children 0-19. Children can get regular check-ups, immunizations, doctor and dentist visits, hospital stays, mental health services, prescriptions and more.   • Bus Mechanic Needed
    The Transportation Department is seeking a Bus Mechanic! This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, proficiency in AC and electronic systems repairs and computer diagnostics of diesel engines,  and a Georgia CDL with Passenger and School Bus endorsements and Hazardous Material Certificate within 120 days of hire. Work experience in medium/heavy truck repair preferred and/or auto/light truck repair is desirable.

  • Parent University - Winter Session
    Parent University is currently taking applications for its Winter Session. Parents will find helpful classes on first aid, nutrition, test preparation, and leadership classes. All parents are welcome to attend. The next class is on February 25th. If you are interested, download the application and schedule sheets or visit Parent University's website.

  • Parents' Right to Know
    Parents may request the following information regarding teacher qualifications as required by the "Every Student Succeeds" Act: Information regarding their student’s classroom teacher’s certificate or credentials, and/or college major and graduate degree information. Parents may also request information regarding the licensing and training of paraprofessionals.   • ECSD 2017 Budget,  Five Year Tax Digest, & M&O Levy History

    In a cooperative effort with GaVS, ECSD encourages students to consider an online option for either courses that are not locally available or for courses the student may believe themselves to be more successful in when taken in an online environment.
